Unequalled Ecuador

EcuadorMystical, the enchanting shoulder of South America, Ecuador is a rugged volcanic landscape of conical megaliths. The light fog that shrouds the tops of Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, and Chimborazo (a few of the 70 volcanoes in the country) also blankets the traditional peoples of Ecuador. Mostly of Quechua and Spanish descent, the natives have not been exposed to tourism for as long as their neighbors to the south (Peru) creating cultural curiosities between both locals and travelers. The grumbling volcanoes which dot Ecuador are irregular projections of jagged rock amongst the backdrop of the Amazon Rainforest, and warm Pacific beaches. Only the equator itself could cut through such varying terrain and it is, for that reason, Equadors namesake.
